Am I really loving others and sharing my knitted gifts like I have been blogging about? Is what I say a reflection of what is in my heart?

Do I really trust God when I am afraid? Worry is a sin the that many of us probably struggle with on a daily basis.

“Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.”—1 Chronicles 16:11 (NLT)

In my book club, there are a few ladies that don’t read their books on an electronic device because they like having a physical book with pages to turn. I get it. While I do like the convenience of reading books on my Kindle or IPad, sometimes I need a real book with pages to keep track of what is going on in the story. 

Last week I had the privilege of loving my neighbor when I gave away my Threads With Red Gift.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”—Mark 12:30-31

When I moved into our neighborhood ten years ago, I decided I was going to organize a ladies neighborhood Pokeno group so that I could meet my neighbors.

In January, I shared that for 2018, I was going to focus on the words, “Be Still.” I signed up and ran a 1/2 marathon yesterday, so obviously, I didn’t choose the words for physical stillness. My word choice was for me to still my mind during my quiet time with the Lord. 

Psalm 118:24 is a scripture that is a great one to memorize. I think it is the perfect scripture to put on this month’s gift tag.

We are all called to minister outside of the church. Because God is with us, the church should be with us wherever we go.

I know that when you are in the midst of a trial it might be hard to read Romans 8:28. You may think, “Lord, how can anything good possibly come out of this? Look at this scripture as a promise from God to you.

I’m not sure if anyone else is struggling with memorizing scripture like I am. I have been able to do each month’s verse but when I go back to the prior months, some don’t come as quickly as I would like. I want these scriptures engraved in my heart so that I can recall them when needed.
